Project Overview
Amazon gives many tens of millions a year in the form of concessions towards returns.
- When a customer returns a large bulky item, they must package and ship/drop off the item themselves.
- This creates friction in the return process leading to poor CX.
- Increased cost to serve via talking with customer service agents.
- Cost of shipping and storing the item amount to millions per year
- Amazon refunds full cost of product, and is now stuck with a large item they can’t sell easily.
